🔧 Type 1 Valve Cover black - permanently sealed & thermally optimized

Description

Once installed. Permanently sealed. Noticeably more relaxed engine.

Anyone who drives an air-cooled VW engine knows the problem: sweating valve covers, oil smell, and constant readjustment. This valve cover addresses precisely that – and solves the problem permanently.

The solid aluminum construction ensures stability and uniform contact pressure over the entire sealing surface. In combination with the O-ring seal, it creates a reliable, durable seal that won't give way or wear out – completely without spring clips.

Additionally, the integrated cooling fins actively support heat dissipation. This directly impacts the cylinder head temperature and ensures a thermally more relaxed engine operation – especially with performance-enhanced setups.

The enlarged interior provides more space for larger rocker arm ratios, while noticeably reducing noise and vibrations.

Install, retighten to approx. 20 Nm after 200 km – and drive instead of constantly checking.

Advantages at a glance

✔ Permanently sealed - O-ring instead of spring clip 🔧
✔ No readjustment - stable, uniform contact pressure
✔ Better cooling - cooling fins lower head temperature đŸŒĄïž

Our Story

In 1991, the VW Beetle captivated us.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a true passion: understanding, improving, and getting the most out of air-cooled engines.

With our background in model making and foundry craftsmanship, we began developing our own parts. The first Type 1 valve covers were just the beginning - soon followed by further development into the more precise O-ring seal.

Over the years, individual components evolved into more and more solutions: components, cylinder heads, and finally complete alternator sets for Type 1 and Type 4 engines.

To this day, what began in 1991 still drives us:
Enthusiasm for technology and performance for air-cooled VW engines.
