🔧 Type 4 Intake Manifold with Vacuum Port

Description

These intake manifolds for Type 4 engines are designed for maximum filling and efficient mixture guidance – precisely where power is generated.

The solid intake plenum with an integrated gas mixture chamber ensures optimized volume in the intake tract. In combination with the short intake path, a uniform and effective filling of the cylinder heads is achieved – a decisive factor for power and smooth engine operation.

The advantage is particularly evident in larger engines: for a 2.4-liter setup, the optimal volume is about 0.6 liters per intake pipe and cylinder – this is exactly where this system comes in.

The high material thickness of 10 mm also enables stable and durable structures, meaning that extensive welding is often not necessary for high-performance engines.

A well-engineered system for those who want more than standard. 🤙

"Why this intake plenum delivers more power"

More volume in the intake tract means better and more uniform cylinder filling.

The integrated chamber acts like a buffer for the gas mixture and ensures that the engine is optimally supplied in every situation.

Especially with large-displacement engines, this creates a noticeable difference in performance, running smoothness, and throttle response. 🤙

Advantages at a glance

Optimal cylinder filling – thanks to integrated gas mixture chamber 🔧
More volume – ideal for high-performance engines
Short intake path – better flow and efficient mixture guidance
Solid construction – 10 mm wall thickness for maximum stability ⚙️
No welding necessary – suitable even for large engines
Flexible to use – thanks to interchangeable flange system

Our Story

In 1991, the VW Beetle captivated us.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a true passion: understanding, improving, and getting the most out of air-cooled engines.

With our background in model making and foundry craftsmanship, we began developing our own parts. The first Type 1 valve covers were just the beginning - soon followed by further development into the more precise O-ring seal.

Over the years, individual components evolved into more and more solutions: components, cylinder heads, and finally complete alternator sets for Type 1 and Type 4 engines.

To this day, what began in 1991 still drives us:
Enthusiasm for technology and performance for air-cooled VW engines.
